Whether you’re decorating a cozy reading nook, updating your entryway, or giving your whole home an autumnal refresh and let's not forget that a piece of wall art can sometimes be the icing on the cake when it comes to decorating, which is why these Autumn Cottagecore Interior Decor Ideas + Wall Art Styling Tips will help you weave warmth, whimsy, and natural charm into every corner. With a mix of vintage touches, earthy textures, and thoughtful decor choices, you’ll be able to create a space that not only looks beautiful but also feels like a peaceful escape from the chaos of the outside world.

A light cottage core living room with a touch of boho style
If you like light rooms, or have very limited space then this is the one for you. It's rooms like this where the little touches can make all the difference, for example; without the artwork on the wall, the plants or the autumn coloured cushions, this room would be boring. With a mixture of rustic charm, boho style and of course nature, this room has everything you'll need to make a room cottage core, but in a more nice way. This room consists of:
A handmade lace emboridered art on the wall, which you can sometimes pick up in handmade shops, or on sites like Etsy,
A little macrame hanging basket, which you can easily find on Amazon, or in places like Home Sense if you're in the UK.
A simple white sofa and some orange cushions, giving that Autumnal hint
A piece of my artwork called Rosey Posey, which can make any room look nice and cosy. (Image for illustrative purposes only)

A cozy country style reading nook with beams
If you prefer somewhere that's cozy, vintage and more on the rustic side then this is for you. The best thing about it is that it's suitable for any room size, infact the smaller the room the cozier it feels, but obviously not too small and make sure your room has a big enough window so that it's not too dark. In rooms like this the floral decor and nature art play a crucial part in the overall look, because it'd look like a box room without it. This room consists of:
Floral cushions, which you can pick up in many home stores, but hand designed ones give it that unique touch, which can be found on sites like Etsy or Redbubble.
A comfy sofa with a white cover over it
Lots of books; for this just simply build up your book collection however you want
Nature decor; this includes the flowers in a vase (dried or fresh) and a piece of my artwork called Country Cow, great for giving a rustic room that finishing touch ((Image for illustrative purposes only).
A nice little lamp in the corner for if you want to snuggle up near the lamp in the evening. Can be found in most home stores, my favourite is Homesense if you're in the UK.

A simple hallway full of plants
If you prefer a simple vibe, or want guests to walk in and feel it's freshness, this is for you. Sometimes as they say "less is more" and in this case that's true, because all you need to give it the wow-factor with all these plants, is something rustic to compliment them, like here where there's wooden pots and a nice bench. Plus a hallway isn't decorated without at least 1 piece of art, like this simple piece that just finishes it off. This room consists of:
Lots of plants - from small tabletop ones to big ones that go on the floor, you can find all these in any garden centre and some home stores depending on if you want fresh or fake.
A nice rustic bench to compliment the plants and the walls - can be found in some furniture stores, both new and second hand.
Then just 1 simple piece of art to finish off the look, which in this case is a piece of my artwork called softly blooming, great for plant based rooms, or if you like simplicity (Image for illustrative purposes only).

Simple cottage core kitchen with lace curtains
If you live in your kitchen more than your other rooms, then this is definitely the one for you. You see how the neurtal rustic tones all go well together, wel that's because you've the contrast in the different colours, plus just the fact the items look nice. This is an easy way to have some nice cottage core decor in your home, but also having enough flexability to add your own stamp to it. But just like the other examples, having that piece of art in your kitchen gives it that finishing touch. This room consists of:
Nice lace curtains tat can be picked up in most home stores
Rustic shelves & kitchen equipment, which can be found in most home stores, and even some handmade shops or 2nd hand furniture stored too
A nice bright kitchen - the best things to do for the actual layout of your kitchen, is to speak to a kitchen specialist
2 pieces of art to add that finishing touch, in this. case the left one is a piece of my artwork called Coastal Sunset, which is great. for warm rooms. Then on the right is another one of my pieces called Forest Bells, which is great for most rooms (Image for illustrative purposes only).
That's a wrap!
So I hope all these cottage core decor examples help to inspire you and help you to create the house of your dreams!
